Disclosures

What the desk is, what it is not, and the specific things a principal should understand before granting it authority. We would rather state these plainly than have you discover them.
Our role
MWEnergy Enterprise, through the OilTradeConnector desk, acts as a broker and intermediary. We are not a principal to the transactions we arrange, we do not take title to product, and we hold no proprietary trading position.
We are compensated by commission on closed volume, at a rate agreed in writing with you in advance. We do not take an undisclosed spread between principals.
No offer, no advice
Nothing on this site or in any communication from the desk is an offer to sell or a solicitation to buy any commodity, security or financial instrument. Indicative terms remain indicative until executed between principals.
We do not provide legal, tax, accounting or investment advice. Documentation we produce is intended for review by your own counsel.
Autonomous operation
The desk operates autonomously within the mandate you grant. You should understand both halves of that before granting it.
- Within your mandate, the desk contacts counterparties, negotiates and progresses transactions without asking first. That is the service you are engaging.
- Commercial limits you set are enforced structurally and cannot be exceeded by the desk.
- Authorising a demand for funds, extending credit, responding to legal escalation and proceeding past a sanctions indicator are never autonomous and always require a human decision.
- You can halt all autonomous execution instantly at any time.
Limits of our screening
Our counterparty screening is a triage and escalation function designed to stop unsuitable counterparties reaching your contract stage. It is not a determination of legal status against any sanctions list of record.
It does not discharge your own compliance obligations, nor those of your bank. Where a check against an authoritative source is required, we identify it rather than imply it has been done.
Limits of our documentation
Documents are drafted to the conventions of international physical energy trade and are produced for your review and your counsel’s.
Where a commercial term has not been agreed, or a fact such as a vessel particular, certificate number or inspection figure has not been established, the draft marks it conspicuously as outstanding. We do not supply a plausible value in its place. A document containing fabricated particulars would be worthless to you and potentially unlawful.
Settlement
Settlement is available by card, ACH bank transfer, and SOL transfer to the MWEnergy Enterprise treasury wallet published in the application.
A payment is recognised only on confirmation from the payment rail itself. For card and bank settlement that is the processor’s confirmation; for SOL it is on-chain confirmation that the treasury wallet was credited. No statement by the desk, by you, or by a counterparty substitutes for that.
Digital asset settlement carries risks that bank settlement does not, including price volatility between quotation and transfer, and the irreversibility of an incorrect transfer. Verify the destination address before sending.
Market risk
Physical energy markets are volatile and are affected by geopolitical events, freight availability, refinery economics and regulatory change. Past transaction outcomes do not indicate future results.
The desk does not forecast prices and does not represent that any transaction will be profitable. Commercial judgement about whether a trade is good for you remains yours.
Conflicts
The desk may act for multiple principals, including principals on opposite sides of the same market. Information is isolated per principal and is never used to inform another participant’s position.
Where the desk identifies a match between two principals it serves, both are told that the counterparty is also a client of the desk before contracting.
